Two IPL 2024 matches involving Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals were swapped. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced this on Tuesday. “BCCI announces the rescheduling of two matches of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024,” the board said in an official release. BCCI did not reveal the reason behind this change but news agency PTI had reported that it was due to Ram Navami festival. It has been learned that Kolkata Police had expressed its inability to provide adequate security cover for KKR’s third home match of the 17th IPL season just three days after hosting Lucknow Super Giants.

CL (Champion Leauge) T-20 Is Back:

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Cricket Australia (CA) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) are in active talks to revive the club-based competition Champions League T20, which was last played in 2014. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the eventual winners of the competition as they defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in the final in Bengaluru. Ten years after its last edition, “active talks” are underway between the cricket boards of Australia, England and India to revive the Champions League T20 (CLT20) tournament.
