Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman is likely to miss the next game for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2024 as he has gone to Bangladesh to process his US visa ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, which will be held in the Caribbean and the United States from June. The fast bowler will not be available for CSK’s next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 5 and is expected to return on Sunday or Monday, depending on when he gets his passport back. Mustafizur will be available to play in the IPL only till the end of April, with the left-arm pacer expected to join the national team ahead of the five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe starting on May 3. “His NOC for the tournament will run till April 30 and we are hopeful that he will return from the IPL.

IPL 2024 Reschedules Matches:

KKR vs RR, which was earlier scheduled to take place at Eden Gardens on April 17, will now be played a day earlier on April 16. Two IPL 2024 matches involving Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals were swapped. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced this on Tuesday. “BCCI announces the rescheduling of two matches of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024,” the board said in an official release. BCCI did not reveal the reason behind this change but news agency PTI had reported that it was due to Ram Navami festival. It has been learned that Kolkata Police had expressed its inability to provide adequate security cover for KKR’s third home match of the 17th IPL season just three days after hosting Lucknow Super Giants.

CL (Champion Leauge) T-20 Is Back:

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Cricket Australia (CA) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) are in active talks to revive the club-based competition Champions League T20, which was last played in 2014. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the eventual winners of the competition as they defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in the final in Bengaluru. Ten years after its last edition, “active talks” are underway between the cricket boards of Australia, England and India to revive the Champions League T20 (CLT20) tournament.
